Free School Meals In Harlow College

EDM number 238 in 2012-13, proposed by Robert Halfon on 20/06/2012.
Categorised under the topics of Food and Schools.

That this House notes that there has been a loophole in the system for many years damaging the prospects of young people at Harlow College with an estimate of at least 350 students in severe need of free school meals but no funding for this; further notes that this has left students hungry and unable to work to their full potential, leaving their education at serious risk; believes there is a need for schools to share data on who needs free school meals with colleges; and calls on the Government to extend free school meals funding to students at Harlow College and other education establishments.

This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
