That this House welcomes the fifth annual Vocational Qualifications Day on 20 June 2012; congratulates the millions of people who gain technical and vocational qualifications, especially those in Harlow College; notes that high quality technical and practical learning provides young people with the skills, experience, motivation and inspiration to get ahead; further notes that in this tough economic climate it is essential to value these qualifications; recognises that only with skilled and trained people can we drive forward the UK economy; and further congratulates the education foundation EDGE and its partners on five years of celebrating the nation's apprentices and technical and vocational learners.
