That this House welcomes Heriot-Watt University's success in achieving a place in the top 20 best universities in the UK according to The Guardian Good University Guide 2013; notes that the University has risen seven places overall in the Guide which ranks universities according to their teaching excellence; further notes that the University is now ranked fourth in Scotland and performed particularly strongly in chemistry, engineering and town and country planning; and believes that the ranking demonstrates the University's commitment to teaching excellence and quality outcomes for students.
