That this House welcomes the work of Bowel Cancer UK and the Make Bobby Proud Campaign as well as many others in promoting bowel cancer awareness; notes the recent report outlining that bowel cancer amongst men has increased by more than a quarter in the last 35 years; encourages more research to be done to help fight the disease; further urges more screening opportunities to be made available to people so they feel able to get checked out for signs and symptoms of bowel cancer; further notes that there is a good chance of survival if the cancer is detected early; encourages people to go to their GP if they have any concerns about signs of bowel cancer; and urges people to support bowel cancer awareness month throughout April 2013.
