Gordon Warren And The Metropolitan Police Service

EDM number 123 in 2012-13, proposed by Tom Brake on 23/05/2012.
Categorised under the topic of Police.

That this House welcomes the pledge made by the Metropolitan PoliceCommissioner, Bernard Hogan-Howe, that he will cut crime and slash costs with `humility, transparency and integrity'; notes that Gordon Warren, a police officer with 30 years' service and an exemplary record, is still fighting for justice, 30 years after he was forced out of the Metropolitan Policeon spurious medical grounds; and calls on the Metropolitan Police, its lawyers and the Home Office to recognise the injustice done to Mr Warren and come to an amicable settlement that will compensate him for the loss of his good name and the loss of further years' service with the Metropolitan Police.

This motion has been signed by a total of 5 MPs.
