Balance North East - See What Sam Sees Campaign

EDM number 1187 in 2012-13, proposed by Ian Lavery on 14/03/2013.
Categorised under the topics of Alcoholism, Children and families and Health education and preventive medicine.

That this House welcomes the See What Sam Sees campaign by Balance, the North East Alcohol Office; notes that this powerful campaign seeks to highlight that young people are under a constant barrage of alcohol marketing; congratulates the students from the North East who delivered a sizeable petition to Downing Street and visited the House of Commons to share their thoughts and concerns with the region's hon. Members; believes that these young people were excellent ambassadors on behalf of their schools and are a credit to their families and communities; and further notes that the actions and commitment of these young people will hopefully dispel the unfair and negative stereotypical views that some sections of society have of our young people and alcohol consumption.
