Service Standards And The Kitemark For Garages
EDM number 881 in 2010-12, proposed by Robert Halfon on 25/10/2010.
Categorised under the topics of Manufacturing industries and Roads.
That this House believes that the British Standards Institution (BSI) Kitemark for Garage Services is a good way of boosting public confidence in some garages, by supplying formal recognition of good workmanship and value for money; notes research which shows that 58 per cent. of people who have had a car serviced in a garage before are not entirely confident that the work they have paid for has actually been carried out; further notes that similar Kitemark schemes elsewhere have had a positive impact; and therefore calls for public support for the BSI Kitemark for Garage Services as the economy grows.
