Newport Passport Office

EDM number 798 in 2010-12, proposed by Roger Williams on 11/10/2010.
Categorised under the topics of Employment and Industrial relations.

That this House regrets the proposal for consultation to close the Newport Passport Office; understands the need for the best value for money from the UK's public services in very difficult times but believes this must be done sensitively with the aim of providing an equitable service across the United Kingdom; further believes the proposals will drastically reduce the quality of service for millions in Wales and South West England; urges interested parties to respond to the consultation setting out their concerns; and calls on the Government to reverse the proposal to close the Passport Office in Newport.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
