Drive For Justice Campaign

EDM number 775 in 2010-12, proposed by David Crausby on 11/10/2010.
Categorised under the topic of Roads.

That this House supports the Drive for Justice Campaign, backed by The Bolton News, which is calling for an increase to the maximum tariff for dangerous drivers who cause serious injury; recognises the large gap between the maximum injury by dangerous driving sentence of two years and the maximum death by dangerous driving sentence of 14 years in prison; and calls on the Government to provide judges with the necessary flexibility to sentence based on the extent of injury caused to ensure that justice can be delivered.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
