That this House recognises the sacrifice of conscripted and regular service personnel who were stationed in Australia and Christmas Island in the 1950s and 1960s to support the UK's atomic weapons testing; notes that many of them are suffering serious illness as a consequence; and recalls that its allies have already paid compensation to their ex-service personnel who were similarly exposed to unknown risks as part of that nuclear testing programme.
