National Anthem And The BBC
EDM number 636 in 2010-12, proposed by Andrew Rosindell on 26/07/2010.
Categorised under the topics of Broadcasting and Cultural heritage.
That this House calls on the British Broadcasting Corporation to restore the British National Anthem on BBC 1 at the end of each day's programming before the switch over to BBC News 24; regrets the decision on 3 October 1997 to play God Save the Queen on BBC1 for the last time; and believes that the time has arrived to reinstate this proud tradition.
