Haiti Earthquake

EDM number 497 in 2010-12, proposed by Diane Abbott on 14/07/2010.
Categorised under the topic of Latin America.

That this House recognises that six months have passed since the earthquake in Haiti; acknowledges that much good work by the UN and various aid agencies has been carried out; but notes that the island is still in the midst of a humanitarian crisis and that more than 1,300 temporary camps remain, housing 1.5 million people; is concerned that conditions may worsen with the coming hurricane season; and calls on the new Coalition Government to continue the UK's commitment to provide aid to help that nation to regroup, reorganise and rebuild.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
