That this House welcomes the cultural contribution made by the city and people of Norwich; acknowledges the success of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, the numerous organisations and educational institutions that bring local and world-class arts to the city and Norwich's rich architecture and heritage; and supports Norwich's bid to be recognised as the first UK City of Culture in 2013 with the benefits that this will bring to Norwich, Norfolk and beyond.
