Benefits And Taxation Policy And Lower Income Groups

EDM number 43 in 2010-12, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 25/05/2010.
Categorised under the topics of Benefits policy and Taxation.

That this House notes the continuing problems which affect many working families throughout the United Kingdom; recognises that socio-economic deprivation is very high in a number of areas including Northern Ireland, the North West and North East of England, and parts of Scotland and Wales; and expresses the hope that, as the new Coalition Government begins work on reforming the benefits and taxation system, incentives to those on lower incomes receive a much higher priority than raising tax thresholds and individual savings account limits for those on much higher income scales.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
