Kinder Trespass

EDM number 3005 in 2010-12, proposed by Barry Sheerman on 24/04/2012.

That this House salutes the hundreds of men and women who held their mass trespass on Kinder Scout in the Peak District 80 years ago as part of their campaign for the Right to Roam; thanks these pioneers for their insight into the value of contact with the countryside as a source of relaxation, recreation and education; notes that many millions of children in the UK today have little access to the countryside; and supports the John Clare Trust's campaign to give every child the right to the countryside.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
