Cup Final Transport

EDM number 2974 in 2010-12, proposed by John Pugh on 18/04/2012.
Categorised under the topics of Railways and Sports.

That this House is disappointed by the collective decision-making of Network Rail and the Football Association, which through the planning of engineering works and the arranging of a late kick-off for what must be solely commercial reasons, have together managed to ensure that Liverpool supporters travelling to London for the FA Cup Final will be forced to endure slow and heavily crowded train or replacement services back to Liverpool or will have to remain in London until after the weekend; believes that this is grossly unfair to those many thousands of fans paying good money to go and watch their team play; and calls on all involved to take the action necessary to ensure that disruption is minimised as much as possible.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
