That this House pays tribute to the life of former RAF pilot Desmond Pastore MBE who died peacefully aged 97, for his dedication and inspiring passion shown to the sport of rugby; commends his commitment to the sport that made him the oldest player in the world when he donned his gold shorts at the age of 93; acknowledges his unbroken record of scoring 65 tries for Sale RUFCin one season; recognises his achievements in establishing Old Bedians RUFC firstly in Chorltonville and his instrumental work in helping them move to Millgate Lane in Didsbury where he was given the title Honorary Life President; and wishes that he may rest in peace knowing that the sport has benefited greatly from his dedication.
