Furnished Holiday Lettings Rules

EDM number 251 in 2010-12, proposed by Timothy Farron on 16/06/2010.
Categorised under the topics of Taxation and Tourism.

That this House calls on the Government to hold a full consultation with all affected parties before any revision to the furnished holiday lettings rules is introduced; notes that an analysis by the Tourism Alliance shows that the self-catering sector is a very important component of the UK tourism industry, generating over £1.8 billion for local economies; and believes that any changes to the rules must not damage the sector, successful businesses or rural and seaside communities.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
