That this House recognises the overall costs of the Green Deal to consumers including product costs, interest rates and value added tax (VAT) will have an impact on future Green Deal uptake; and calls on the Government to commit to restricting the VAT on products used in the Green Deal to five per cent. being the same level as the energy these products are designed to save.
