Saving Lives Campaign

That this House welcomes the Saving Lives Campaign ... Drive Safely Because i-Count launched by the charity Kids Count and other associated bodies; notes that the campaign draws attention to the seriousness of how many lives are lost or affected by inappropriate driving, and the importance of influencing young people to change their driving behaviour; further notes the campaign calls for additional road safety information throughout key stages 1 to 4, first-aid training for all learners, consideration by Government for mandatory motorway training for all newly-qualified drivers; and fully endorses Cheshire Think Drive Survive Course in creating safer, more responsible attitudes to road use by young people; commends this campaign which is youth-inspired and grass-roots led; and urges the Government to support the campaign.
