World Records In Mixed Races

That this House expresses deep concern that the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) from next year will only officially recognise world records from same sex races; welcomes the decision that Paula Radcliffe's recorded time in the London Marathon in 2003 will remain classified as a world record; however believes that going forward the new rule will nonetheless undermine the achievements of many sports people; urges the IAAF to recognise the level of popular opposition to the new rule as demonstrated by the history stands campaign on Twitter; and calls on them to reverse the ruling.
