Devolution Of Broadcasting To The Welsh Assembly

EDM number 2386 in 2010-12, proposed by Hywel Williams on 07/11/2011.
Categorised under the topics of Broadcasting and Telecommunications.

That this House believes that, given the handling of the issue of S4C during the passage of the Public Bodies Bill, particularly the lack of opportunity for the overwhelming majority of Welsh hon. Members to debate the detail of the matter and the complete lack of opportunity for debate on S4C at Report Stage, broadcasting should be devolved to the Welsh Assembly and that the Government should investigate the possibilities forthwith with a view to including suitable provisions in any forthcoming broadcasting legislation.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
