Contact Between Hon. Members And Their Constituents

EDM number 2356 in 2010-12, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 01/11/2011.
Categorised under the topics of Members of Parliament and Parliament.

That this House recognises the importance of events such as Parliament Week; acknowledges movesamong some hon. Members to engage which members of the public via social networking sites; and accepts that face-to-face contact with constituents all the time, not just at election time, is one of the best ways to keep in touch with the issue that voters are affected by, and that this constant contact does much to combat the perception of a Westminster bubble which many people believe epitomises the detached nature of politics and politicians in the UK in the 21st century.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
