That this House joins with the rest of the UK in celebrating Diwali, the festival of lights; notes that in Leicester 40,000 attended the switching on of Diwalilights ceremony; congratulates the Prime Minister for his continued support of the tradition of Diwali at Number 10 for the third consecutive year and the Hindu Forum of Britain for its help in celebrating Diwali in the House; and considers that this demonstrates the diversity and multiculturalism that makes the UK the envy of the world.
