That this House endorses the Government's commitment to help establish new university technology colleges across the country; notes the role that university technology colleges can play in providing a vocational pathway for children that is underpinned by core academic knowledge; believes that every child should have the option of beginning study for a craft or trade from the age of 14 years; further believes that the new generation of university technical colleges will help achieve this; and supports the bid to establish a university technical college in the West of England via the City of Bristol College and the University of the West of England.
