Fukushima

EDM number 2068 in 2010-12, proposed by Paul Flynn on 12/07/2011.
Categorised under the topics of Asia and Nuclear power.

That this House notes that the disaster of Fukushima continues and intensifies; is gravely concerned at the evacuation of the plant on 10 July 2011 following another powerful earthquake; is alarmed at the dangerous condition of three reactors that are in out of control melt-through, leaking radiation, without hope of remedy for many months; and regrets that the Government is seeking to prematurely judge the consequences of the disaster in order to shore-up collapsing public and investor confidence.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
