Premium Rate Telephone Numbers

EDM number 2035 in 2010-12, proposed by Ian Swales on 05/07/2011.
Categorised under the topic of Telecommunications.

That this House condemns the use of premium rate telephone numbers for job centres and other public services; notes that the use of 0845 and 0870 numbers significantly increases the cost to the caller; and urges the Government to provide an alternative landline number for those with pre-paid mobile or landline telephones.

This motion has been signed by a total of 45 MPs.
