That this House notes with concern reports that the US administration is seeking to stop dividend payments to shareholders of BP amid anger over the Gulf of Mexico oil spill; further notes the huge exposure of UK pension funds to BP; believes that the company must honour its commitment to the people affected by the disaster; and further believes that the Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs should intervene to raise their concerns with the UK's US allies.
