EDM number 1985 in 2010-12, proposed by Bob Russell on 23/06/2011.
Categorised under the topic of Middle East.

That this House deplores action by Israel in strengtheningits policy of demolishing Palestinian homes in the Jordan Valley, the Eastern part of the occupied West Bank, with 103 homes bulldozed this year leaving more than 700 people homeless, adding to the thousands already dispossessed in this way; observes with condemnation that Israel is continuing to act in defiance of international law and UN resolutions; further condemns Israel for promoting policies against the Palestinian people which amount to ethnic cleansing and apartheid; and calls on the Government to work with the European Union and the UN to introduce sanctions against Israel for its disregard of human rights, international law and UN resolutions.
