Stay Cooler Campaign

EDM number 1923 in 2010-12, proposed by Tom Clarke on 15/06/2011.
Categorised under the topic of Water.

That this House supports the British Water Cooler Association's Stay Cooler campaign, a nationwide initiative to promote the importance of a healthy and hydrated workforce; recognises that drinking water is a critical component in tackling the UK's ongoing health problems, such as heart disease and obesity; notes that, while it might be tempting to cut water cooler provision during tough economic times, the long-term benefits to workplace productivity and wellbeing far outweigh any cost savings in the shorter term; and calls on the Government to ensure that public expenditure cutbacks do not lead to the removal of essential water provision for public sector employees.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
