Post Offices In Northern Ireland

EDM number 1912 in 2010-12, proposed by Margaret Ritchie on 14/06/2011.
Categorised under the topics of Northern Ireland Assembly and Postal services.

That this House notes the importance of the vital community service provided by post offices in Northern Ireland; and further notes that they hold communities together, allowing customers access to products and services in their own community and offering focal points for face-to-face interaction, offering a useful service for older people to claim their pensions and counter money services for customers to organise bills and manage their finances, thereby providing a unique asset that must be sustained and developed for the benefit of local communities.
