That this House recognises Myeloma Awareness Week 2011, held from 21 to 28 June 2011, as an important event to raise awareness of this rare bone marrow cancer affecting 14,000 people in the UK; welcomes the launch in that week of the Myeloma Academy, an innovative educational resource, developed by Myeloma UK to support healthcare professionals involved in the treatment and care of myeloma patients; further recognises the importance of the Academy in helping deliver the Government's priorities for improving patient outcomes, equality and experience as outlined in Improving Outcomes, a Strategy for Cancer; and encourages hon. Members to endorse the Academy in their constituencies.
