EDM number 1858 in 2010-12, proposed by Keith Vaz on 24/05/2011.
Categorised under the topic of Financial institutions.

That this House warmly welcomes the news contained in a letter from the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills to the right hon. Member for Leicester East that the liquidators of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) have at last posted a message on their international website notifying that the global liquidation is to be drawn to an end; notes that the BCCI liquidation has dragged on for over 20 years with millions of pounds being paid to the liquidators; and calls on the Government to review insolvency law to ensure that in the future creditors are given a much bigger say in the way liquidations are conducted.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
