Funding For Voluntary Groups

EDM number 1736 in 2010-12, proposed by John Mann on 26/04/2011.
Categorised under the topic of Voluntary organisations.

That this House believes that voluntary infrastructure groups such as BCVS (Bassetlaw Community and Voluntary Service) in Bassetlaw play an important role in community and voluntary organisation and training; further believes that such groups should not be facing having their council funding completely withdrawn when the services they offer and the talent and expertise they possess represent an excellent and cost-effective use of public money in enabling community and voluntary groups to operate; and calls on the Government to ensure councils have sufficient funding to support such groups.

This motion has been signed by a total of 8 MPs.
