That this House notes the Government's commitment to spending 11.1 billion towards ensuring global food security and to stimulate sustainable agricultural development at the 2009 L'Aquila G8 Summit; is concerned with rising food prices and the plight of smallholder and specifically marginal farmers; and calls on the Government to make these funds directly available to those who need them most - marginal farmers.
