Widening Of Football Participation In Sussex

That this House welcomes the increase in participation in football in Sussex; notes that there are now 105 female youth football teams and 42 female adult teams in Sussex; further notes that since 2008 the number of male disability teams in Sussex has increased from 14 to 20, and the Sussex area has seen a significant growth in the number of male youth teams, which have increased from 902 to 955 since 2008, alongside 588 mini soccer teams; congratulates all those involved in widening participation in football; and looks forward to participation by under-represented groups increasing further.
