National Autism Society And Changes To Disability Living Allowance

EDM number 1688 in 2010-12, proposed by Alan Meale on 31/03/2011.
Categorised under the topic of Benefits administration.

That this House is aware of the Government's decision to reduce by at least 1 billion the annual spend on disability living allowancebenefits;notes the concerns of the National Autism Society's campaign, Who Benefits, which warns that the proposed changes, in particularthe move towards face-to-face assessments, will unfairly penalise people with autism who because of their disabilities will likely be disproportionately affected by the mechanism chosen to determine their entitlement.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
