Afghan Police Force

EDM number 1673 in 2010-12, proposed by Jim Shannon on 30/03/2011.
Categorised under the topics of Afghanistan and Police.

That this House recognises the sterling work that is being carried out in training the Afghan Police Force; understands that it is imperative that there is adequate funding not only for the development of the 6 million police academy but also for continued training; and calls on the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs to ensure that funding continues to be available in order to establish an Afghan Police Force which will in turn enable a reduced British presence whilst retaining democracy in that nation.

This motion has been signed by a total of 8 MPs.
