That this House notes that Flybe and other companies are assisting scams run by Rewardsfirst.com and Credit Rating Matters by enabling them to access customers' bank details when they are not aware of the contractual agreements they are entering into until three months after purchasing air tickets, when a 14.95 a month subscription fee starts to be taken from their bank or credit card account; further notes that customers claim that no confirmation emails of their membership purchase have ever been received and that the companies involved refuse to repay this fee and make the cancellation of future monthly payments a complicated and difficult process when compared to joining, and that this requires the incurring of telephone charges payable to the companies behind the scam; further notes that these practices do enormous damage to the reputation of the companies that partner Rewardsfirst and Credit Rating Matters;calls on Flybe and others to end their relationships with these organisations and toapologise to their customers for helping to mislead them into making payments; and supportscalls forthe Government to consult on legislation to outlaw these scams in the first place.
