That this House welcomes the decision by the Government not to incorporate carer's allowance into the Universal Credit and the factthat carer's allowance will continue to exist as a universal benefit; further welcomes the acknowledgement by the Government of the importance of carer's allowance as a universal benefit providing recognition of the role that carers play; and urges the Government to continue to take forward its strategy to support carers.
