That this House is concerned as to the accountability of processes that lead to citizens of the United Kingdom having their liberty constrained in secret; wishes to obtain information as to the details of what events led to these conclusions; and therefore appoints a Committee to review cases of secret imprisonment, that the Committee must not in any way prejudice any police inquiry or potential criminal proceedings, that the Committee have power to send for persons, papers and records, to report from time to time, to sit not-withstanding any adjournment of the House and that the Committee consists of the following four members: John Hemming, Karl McCartney, Tom Brake and Steve Baker.
