That this House regrets the decision of the BBC to remove the excellent programme Politics UK from the schedule of the BBC World Service in English from April 2011; notes with approval Politics UK's record of fostering a better understanding of British politics, the British Constitution and political culture throughout the world; doubts that daily news coverage can fulfil this role adequately; and calls on the Director General of the BBC to restore this programme to the schedule.
