That this House notes Student Volunteering Week 2011 from 21 to 27 February; recognises the value of student volunteering for the community, education, business and the student; further notes the importance of volunteering during a time of economic instability; supports the work of Volunteering England to support further and higher education across the country to provide student volunteering provision;further recognises that 2011 is a landmark year for volunteers, being the 10th anniversary ofStudent Volunteering Week, the European Year of Volunteering, the UN's International Year of Volunteers +10 and the penultimate year before the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games; andtherefore acknowledges that this year presents an ideal opportunity to highlight the wider work that student volunteers do at home and overseas to strengthen local and global communities.
