Luncheon Clubs

EDM number 1338 in 2010-12, proposed by John Mann on 25/01/2011.
Categorised under the topic of Local government.

That this House notes that luncheon clubs are both affordable and accessible; recognises that they serve as a space for the gathering and strengthening of communities; is therefore concerned about the proposed Nottinghamshire County Council cut to all funding of transport to luncheon clubs; condemns the Council's decision to raise the cost of the meals they provide; and strongly urges the Government and local authorities to reconsider the cuts as they will cripple these community centres.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
