House Of Commons Staff Voluntary Severance Scheme

EDM number 1260 in 2010-12, proposed by Alan Meale on 11/01/2011.
Categorised under the topics of House of Commons and Pay.

That this House is alarmed by reports that the House of Commons Management Board, at a time when recruitment restrictions are in place, has approved plans to launch a voluntary severance scheme amongst long-term employees of the House; andbelieves such a policy is both unnecessary and one which belittles the role and importance of staff throughout the parliamentary estate.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
