That this House sympathises with the Australian people who are suffering due to the severe flooding that is occurring in the state of Queensland; offers its support and condolences regarding the loss of life and high numbers of recorded missing people; congratulates the Australian authorities on its untiring and efficient efforts to minimise the flooding impact and for the courage shown by its political leaders and the community in handling this immense and seemingly unstoppable tragedy; and calls on the Government to offer whatever aid and support may be required by way of assistance and to take seriously the issue of climate change and do everything possible to minimise it.
