Bringing Murderers To Justice
EDM number 1205 in 2010-12, proposed by David Winnick on 15/12/2010.
Categorised under the topics of Courts and Crimes of violence.
That this Housewelcomes the conviction of Mark Weston, found guilty of the murder of Vikki Thompson in 1995; notes the second trial came about only as a result of the change in 2005 in thelaw on double jeopardy since Weston was previously tried in 1996 for the murder and found not guilty; further notes the satisfaction of Ms Thompson's family, who describe her as the perfect wife and mother; and believes that nomatter how long it may take those who take human life must be brought to justice.
