Domestic Violence Services In Bassetlaw

EDM number 1188 in 2010-12, proposed by John Mann on 13/12/2010.
Categorised under the topic of Crimes of violence.

That this House recognises the important work done by women's refuges in offering a place of safety to victims of domestic violence and their children; praises the excellent work done by volunteers and charity workers; expresses grave concern that Nottinghamshire County Council plans to cut its subsidy to these projects as part of its plans to cut 250,000 from its domestic violence services budget; and calls on the Government to consider requiring local authorities to maintain funding to such projects in support of victims of domestic violence.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
