That this House congratulates the Society of Independent Brewers for its campaign to encourage newly-elected hon. Members to celebrate their success at the polls with a glass of beer brewed in their constituency rather than imported champagne; notes the positive contribution made by local brewers to their local economy and in particular the role they play in helping pubs to prosper; and hopes that all hon. Members will recognise this and use local beers, and local pubs, on appropriate occasions.
