Naea Licensing Scheme For Estate Agents

EDM number 1054 in 2010-12, proposed by David Amess on 18/11/2010.
Categorised under the topic of Housing.

That this House welcomes the launch of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) licensing scheme for its members; supports the NAEA's stance in raising standards and professionalism in the estate agency industry; recognises that ethical and qualified estate agents are a presence and respected voice on Britain's high streets; believes that qualified agents help guide consumers through the complicated process of buying or selling property; notes with concern that there is no barrier to anyone setting up and practising as an estate agent; and calls on consumers to look for the NAEA logo when buying or selling a property.
